MEET LESTER JILES

Lester Jiles

Hi! My name is Lester Jiles. I have been a certified personal trainer for over 10 years. I began my career as a body builder and competed for several years - winning the Mr. Philadelphia, Mr. Pittsburgh, and I even competed in the Mr. Universe in Genoa, Italy. I enjoy fishing, golfing, biking, weight training and occasionally boxing. I’m also certified in CPR. I pay special attention to technique and focus on each of my client’s needs – even in a class setting. Our classes are full of energy and each of my classes are unique from the one before.

Stretching

Stretching

Stretching is part of a balanced lifestyle and an important part of your work-out routine. After about 10 minutes of light activity, spend some time stretching. You should hold your stretch for about 20-30 seconds per muscle group. If you feel pain, you have gone too far. I recommended taking time to stretch about 3-4 times per week. If you have recently been injured, that particular area should be stretched every day. If you have health conditions or injuries, talk to your doctor or physical therapist about which stretches are right for you.

I DON’T NEED A PERSONAL TRAINER!

There is a reason why even professional athletes still use personal trainers – everyone benefits from a trainer. “Knowing enough” to work out on your own is not enough or an excuse. People lose focus, motivation, and progress is slow.

A trainer will push you out of your comfort zone in a safe way. A trainer watches your form and motivates you to maximize results and minimize effort.

Boxing is a fun alternative to the gym that promotes strength, flexibility, and endurance. As a form of self-defense, boxing will help you build self-discipline, increase cardiovascular health, and increased hand-eye coordination.

Kettle Bells

Kettle Bell Training is a form of weightlifting that increases strength, cardiovascular health, and increases flexibility through resistance training. Having completed multiple kettle bell certifications, you can trust us to teach you proper form. This helps to decrease the likelihood of injury and achieve your goals.

Boot Camp

Our boot camp class is an advanced level class meant to push your limits to increase both strength and endurance. A combination of various calisthenic and weight lifting exercises are performed in series to optimize muscle growth, increase flexibility, and burn fat. I was initially hesitate to use a personal trainer, had gotten out of shape and nothing was working. Had a recommendation to work with Lester and he has helped me reach and maintain my fitness goals. Every workout is different which keeps me engaged, he targets various muscle groups, and has also made recommendations on simple rules or tips to follow in terms of nutrition.
